Northern Health Authority (NHA), an agency of the Government of British Columbia, provides health services to more than 300,000 people over an area of 600,000 square kilometers. NHA's 7,000 employees work in a wide variety of roles including: doctors, home support workers, home care nurses, and security. Each needing different levels of service and wireless device capabilities.
NHA’s telecom coordinators were managing two different hardware vendors and mountains of spreadsheets to keep track of inventory, carrier bills, and expenses. All information was being entered manually with significant time being spent trying to keep everyone on the same page. With upwards of 1,800 devices and growing steadily, NHA was becoming concerned about transparency, inefficiency, manual errors and the ever-increasing cost of their telecom services.
